Our Story
A little about me:
Hi! Nicole here. I'm 30 and live in the beautiful Western Australia. I created The Be Kind Tribe (now The Kind Tide) back in 2017 with a genuine desire to do something good in the world. I was deeply inspired by the book 'The Most Good You Can Do' by Peter Singer.
I love all nature things - camping, wearing no shoes, tending to my vegetables. Books, traveling, yoga, and eating potatoes are also hobbies of mine. I've just graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology & Sustainable Development, which has opened my eyes to the importance and urgency of environmental conservation. It's made me want to do more and educate more. I'm currently pursuing my Honours and seeing where life takes me!

About this project:
At The Kind Tide, I hope to inspire kindness and mindful living through eco-conscious products. The project is dedicated to promoting ocean conservation, reducing waste, and supporting environmental initiatives - donating all profits to organisations making a real impact. Social platforms are also used to raise awareness and educate, helping bridge often daunting science with the general community, via easy-to-understand content.
In January 2026 we officially became a registered non-profit (yay!). This will help deepen our impact and also save on business costs. I'm most active on Instagram, so make sure to follow the journey @thekindtide. Check out the Donations page for info about money raised.
Our apparel is simple, but it means something - we hope it means something to you, too!
I'm so grateful for all of the support TKT receives. This project wouldn't be possible without you all.
