This is why what we do on land matters for the oceans. It's why we have to pressure our governments for stronger policies and regulations on things like plastic production, wastewater and runoff management, and climate change.

It's also why our individuals' actions matter too - what we put down the drain, our diet, our energy use, what we feed our lawn or gardens. It's all connected.
